INCENTIVE TRACKER
Charge to Work NY concluded in February 2020 and is no longer accepting applications or able to provide incentive funding. NYSERDA's Charge Ready NY program offers similar incentives for workplace charging and other types of EV charging investments. We thank our great partners and workplace partners who are helping to support electric commutes in New York!
CHARGE TO WORK NY
Charge to Work NY is a first-of-its-kind electric vehicle (EV) workplace charging initiative that offers attractive incentives to increase EV adoption in the greater New York City area. Charge to Work NY seeks to engage businesses in the metropolitan area to encourage employees to replace gasoline cars with clean and efficient EVs by installing convenient and reliable EV charging at their place of work.
Charge to Work NY reduces the cost for employers to purchase ChargePoint EV charging equipment for workplaces. Employer participation enables employees to gain valuable EV workplace charging access and to earn $500 vehicle rebates. Both employers and employees are encouraged to read on to learn more about how to get involved.

WHY WORKPLACE CHARGING?
“Promoting more sustainable fleets and the use of alternative fuel vehicles is part of Verizon’s commitment toward meeting ambitious sustainability goals in all areas of its business.”
- Verizon
EVs are easy, fun to drive and cost-effective to own, but they require a place to plug in and charge. With the greater New York City area’s dense urban environment, finding dedicated parking for EV charging can be a challenge for commuters.
Workplace charging provides a reliable opportunity for commuters to own and drive an EV without worrying about the hassle of finding available public charging. For most who drive to work, the workplace is where cars are left parked for the longest periods of time aside from the home.
When workplaces make EV charging available to employees, research suggests that commuters take advantage of it, allowing EV owners to charge their vehicles more frequently and reliably away from their homes.
